The Challenge

Myrurgia was founded in 1916 in Barcelona and known internationally for its perfumes and beauty products with an impeccable modernist and art deco heritage. The brand was acquired by PUIG perfume company in 2000 and some fragrances were found hidden in the basement of Myrurgia’s historic building.

The challenge was to reintroduce this forgotten masterpiece through a limited-edition release, balancing its luxurious heritage with a modern presentation. Puig required a design that would honor the brand’s legacy while elevating the exclusivity of this rare collection, limited to just 300 items.

The outcome

The concept reimagines the perfume bottle as a time capsule with high artistic value, reflecting the dual legacy of Myrurgia’s founder, Esteve Monegal i Prat, as both a perfumer and sculptor. The art piece is created by renowned Catalan ceramist Joan Serra, blending heritage and artistry.
