The Challenge

NKN Nekane is a romantic “boho-chic” fashion brand from Barcelona, inspired by the feminine and free-spirited woman, aiming to blend elegance with carefree style. As the brand expanded internationally, I was brought on board to ensure a consistent and appealing brand image across all customer interactions.

By refining the visual identity and creating a wide range of stunning branded materials, we significantly enhanced their global presence, solidifying NKN Nekane’s position in the fiercely competitive fashion industry. NKN Nekane is a romantic “boho-chic” fashion brand designed in Barcelona. Crafted for the feminine woman with a free-spirited, bohemian soul, NKN Nekane’s garments are the perfect blend of elegance and carefree style. The brand has made a significant mark, boasting more than 800 sales points across 25 countries, alongside their flagship store and a thriving ecommerce shop.

As NKN Nekane expanded its reach internationally, maintaining a consistent and appealing brand image across all customer interactions became a pressing need. This wasn’t just about a visual refresh; it was about deepening the connection with their audience and solidifying their market position, ensuring a unified and impactful brand experience.

BRAND STRATEGY

We conducted thorough market research to understand our target audience and competitive landscape. From there, we defined the brand’s mission to celebrate femininity and carefree elegance, rooted in core values of authenticity and creativity. Our positioning statement captures the essence of NKN Nekane, seamlessly blending elegance with a bohemian spirit.

THE PROCESS

With a rock-solid brand strategy in place, we kicked off the creative phase with a moodboard that vividly captured the essence of NKN Nekane’s free-spirited and bohemian vibe. This step ensured that all visual elements would align with the brand’s core identity. Next, I focused on refreshing the visual identity by updating the existing typography and color palette. This played a key role in creating a more cohesive and contemporary brand image, laying the foundation for a visual language that would resonate with NKN Nekane’s audience globally.

BRAND COLLATERAL

To reinforce NKN Nekane’s brand identity, we crafted a set of brand collateral, including gift cards, business cards, packaging for e-commerce orders and a variety of promotional materials. These items not only served functional purposes but also strengthened brand recognition and consistency across all touchpoints. As a result, the image of NKN Nekane became more cohesive and memorable, enhancing customer loyalty.

MARKETING DESIGN

To engage the online audience and to drive traffic to both the e-commerce site and physical store, I designed newsletters, website banners, landing pages, and content for the website, as well as paid media assets. These digital marketing materials were crucial in maintaining a visually appealing and consistent digital presence. As a result, we significantly boosted online engagement and conversion rates, growing the email subscriber list by almost half – from 10K to 19K – and increasing Instagram followers from 21K to 51.6K. This ensured that the brand remained top-of-mind for both existing and potential customers.

SALES CAMPAIGNS’ KEY VISUALS

For each summer’s and winter’s sales campaigns, including Black Friday and smaller flash-sale promotions, I developed campaign’s key visuals. They were pivotal in creating excitement and urgency around the sales events, leading to increased foot traffic in stores and higher online sales. The strategic and visually compelling campaigns contributed to a substantial boost in sales and heightened brand awareness during peak shopping periods.

THE IMPACT

✦  Despite the economic challenges, we maintained stable revenue for B2C, demonstrating the brand’s resilience and the loyalty of its customer base. Customer loyalty and repeated purchases saw a significant increase, thanks to the cohesive and compelling brand identity we established.

✦  Our digital marketing efforts paid off tremendously, with organic growth of 148% in Instagram followers, and a nearly 90% increase in newsletter subscribers. These figures are a testament to the engaging and consistent digital presence.

✦  Moreover, the brand’s B2B footprint expanded significantly, with 107 new sales points established across the USA and Canada. This expansion not only boosted market presence but also solidified NKN Nekane’s position in the competitive fashion industry.

In summary, the strategic and creative initiatives we implemented were pivotal in driving brand recognition, customer engagement, and market growth, ensuring NKN Nekane’s continued success and influence globally.
